Are subtle energy devices and harmonizers for home well-being effective solutions to reduce EMF?

Subtle energy devices for home well-being are defined as harmonizers, pyramids, jewelry pendants, sacred geometry objects and the like that claim to mitigate the reaction of a human being to man-made electromagnetic radiation (EMR=EMF), but do not alter the readings shown on meters designed to measure the type of radiation in question, such as the professional EMF meters.

At Energy & Space, our philosophy is to embrace both ancient and contemporary sciences to help people and companies create healthy environments that support happiness, health and well-being.

As an Electromagnetic Radiation Expert and Building Biologist, I trust and work with the science-based research on the negative effects of EMF on our health, and have experience with many clients that have improved their health and got rid of their symptoms only after using EMF shielding materials (such as shielding paint, fabric and glass film for example), and integrating strategies to use technology in a safer way in their environment. Reducing the levels of non-ionizing radiations should be a priority when compared to subtle energy devices, which can be used after mitigation strategies are already in place.

As a Feng Shui Consultant and Dowser, I do support and believe in balancing and harmonizing subtle energies within a space, to align the physical environment and individuals with the Qi (Life Force), and connect them to the energy grids of the Earth, to create buildings that are an extension of the Earth healing energy. This can be achieved by enhancing the energy flow through spatial arrangement, ceremonies with and through the Guardians of the Land, to connect the energy of the building to the Earth energy grids, the use of the 5 elements (Wood, Earth, Fire, Water, Metal), as well as subtle energy devices.

My conclusion and recommendation is: Yes to subtle energy devices, only when EMF shielding and mitigation strategies have been implemented, and the environment has low to zero EMF.

I would like to share the below position statement by the Building Biology Institute in USA, talking about the scientific evidence of some of the subtle energy devices and additional useful recommendations.

“We are concerned about the possibility that with long term experience these devices turn out to mask growing physical problem or grow less effective over time.

We are willing to allow that the improvements reported by people who use these chips may have a basis in fact, as indicated by such evidence as reduced clumping of red blood cells in live blood cell analysis, reduced tissue heating in thermography, and reduced DNA damage in rats.

If the results are true, then there must be a biological basis for these changes. The limited research, coupled with thousands of testimonials support the idea that there is some efficacy to some of these devices. Yet, such devices, if they work, seem to elicit different responses from different people. Some people seem to be helped, some are not helped. The reasons for this are unknown. However, since some people are helped by some devices, we support their use under certain conditions.

The conditions for use:

  1. Do not use subtle energy devices as a sole means of protection, or even as your first line of protection.

  2. Use them as supplemental protection against electromagnetic radiation in situations where it cannot be avoided.

  3. Use them as an adjunct to EMF reduction/elimination strategies in your living and work spaces, particularly for people with electrical sensitivity.

  4. Put into practice methods that will eliminate or reduce exposure to electromagnetic radiation in spaces that you control.
